The Cheli & Peacock Portfolio

In Kenya Cheli & Peacock has combined a portfolio of wonderful camps and lodges in the most diverse eco systems of Kenya; whether they are the open plains of the Mara, the swamps of Amboseli nurtured by the waters of the Kilimanjaro, the dry desert landscapes of the north or the forest islands in mountainous areas.

Some of the camps offer the traditional and authentic safari style in Meru tents with bucket showers. But what an experience! Go walking with one of the best walking guides Kenya has and stay in Ol Pejeta at the foot of Mount Kenya; join the Samburu and Ndorobo people in Kitich Camp in the Matthews Range, enjoy the views into the Mara plains from Elephant Pepper Camp or go walking from Saruni Wild (part of Saruni Mara) also in the larger Mara eco system.
Other portfolio members are certainly stylish in architecture such as Saruni Samburu or come across in true “Out of Africa Style” such as Cottar’s 1920´s. Again others are famous by the stories that are embedded in their own history, Elsa’s Kopje and Joy’s Camp. Remember the film “Born Free”? Joy and George Adamson and the lioness Elsa?

Loisaba, a ranch of the size of Samburu National Park, tops all in terms of private activities offered. Lewa Safari Camp is based in the Lewa wildlife and rhino sanctuary, home to the big five of Kenya. Tortilis offers the best views onto Kilimanjaro.
On the coast, on a lonely stretch of Galu Beach, Kinondo Kwetu is a private family home whereas Kiwayu is probably the ultimate in bare foot luxury and lack of civilisation north of Lamu.

Some of the Cheli & Peacock Portfolio Members are members of the Classic Safari Camps of Africa.
